1 Answer. Sometimes the connection behind the door panel causes this problem. It is a wire that fits into a hole on the inside of the door handle. Be careful when you pop the door panel off. Use the tool, which is a flat thin pry bar. The wire looks like a thick metal coat hanger and fits in the hole.

The 1-touch passenger window and comfort/remote function for the roof is very interesting. The reason is some of the software won't work on a 64bit platform. That's no problem. I managed to run everything fine, just install INPA in compatibility mode and then run the rest through on XP on a virtual machine.

Worked for me on the 3 as continuity was making and breaking - also cheaper than BMW diagnostics. Another one is to remove a cover and find unsheathed section of cable then gently pull on each core in turn. There are 9 on the Z3 - 2 for central brake light and rest for boot lock and return circuit. Good Luck.
