The turn signal switch is what controls your turn signal when you click the knob to either turn right or turn left. If the switch isn't working, it's not going to send the correct signal to power the ball to blink accordingly. There may be a mechanical problem or a wiring problem. If there is a mechanical issue it will likely be a clock spring
Understood, so in your model the turn signals are computer controlled, so there is no direct connection between the turn signal switch and the lights. When you hit the switch a signal is sent to the body computer and then this computer flashes the lights on and off as needed. Do the other lights on the passenger side still work like normal?

We checked the light bulbs as well as switch light bulbs (left to right) and the light bulbs are fine. We suspected that the issue is the signal light relay. The relay cost about $45 3rd party or $79 OEM.

The right side works fine and the left rear is fine. Also the left rear doesn't flash fast to indicate there's a bulb problem and the system check doesn't show a problem either.nimsP.
