Usually a bad or failing fuel pump relay will produce a few symptoms that can alert the driver of the issues. 1. Engine stalls. One of the first symptoms of an issue with the fuel pump relay is an engine that suddenly stalls. So i pop it to dealer, to have a look. They cant find anything wrong, they claim is the software problem, so they update the software..but today it happen again.
I have just bought a fiat 500 diesel which has had a front end bump. The car is now repaired but i just cant get it started. I know the fuel cut off went so i did the indicator reset thing but no joy. The 'fuel cut off' on the dash was still on. I then had the airbag ecu reset and did the indicator thing again.
And now I was getting Fuel cut off unavailable, ABS unavailable, see handbook messages on the instrument panel, and that dreaded car and padlock symbol down in the bottom right. So I got my Foxwell scanner tool out, it’s a decent enough one, and it could scan the Body Control Module (BCM), ABS module, etc. but it could not connect to the ECU.Modules are by no means "one shot". When an accident occurs and an airbag or seatbelt is deployed it will then activate the module to put a light up on the dash. With most accidents where airbags are deployed the module will also contain "crash data". Crash data cannot be cleared by MES, whereas all other errors, once fixed, can easily be

I keep off the motorways, just in case the donk decides to quit completely (I don't want an expensive recovery), but fortunately the journey is uneventful. 3hrs home at 50mph gives plenty of time for thinking. All those messages suggest there's an issue with the airbag system (the fuel cutoff on the 500 is implemented in software in the airbag

Hi I have a 3 years old Abarth 500C and have a weird electrically problem. When i start the car all is fine - no warning lights After about 5 mins the ! light comes on and i get a "fuel cut-off unavailable" warning message After about another 5 mins a light on the right of the dashboards
So the problem is when revving the engine, it shuts itself off completely by itself, the electrics remain on. This typically happens on the motorway, but I replicated it while parked by revving the engine to 6000rpm 4 times and on the 4th it shut off. On the motorway it seems to happen out of the blue in 6th 70mph. q4kZSz.
