The flickering effect isn't my fault. It's an engine bug that was introduced since RC18 and applies to all particle effects bigger in size than 2x2 units. I tried contacting the devs about this issue but they were too busy with 1.5.1 back then it seems. They'll have to be the ones to fix it, I cannot do anything.

One thing that I noticed that helped me personally was to turn off mouse acceleration. It makes the camera feel slightly less floaty, and that tiny extra bit of control might help against the motion sickness (it did for me, anyways). 11 years ago. #23 Edited By MoonlightMoth.

So if your PC (or really any console) only has 2 speakers (stereo sound) then you need to make sure Windows (or whatever console) is not configured for surround. Control Panel > Sound > Playback > Click on the speakers you're using > Configure > Set the audio to Stereo. Mine was set to 5.1 Dolby and switching it to stereo fixed it immediately.
